Dumb Dog Studios is the big guy in the picture. My name is Bobby Sapovits. I received a degree in film/photo from the Rochester Institute of Technology and worked for several photographers in Philadelphia. After my daughter was born (she's the little guy in the photo), I began shooting more and more children. I discovered that not only was I pretty good at it, but I actually like the little brats. And thus, Dumb Dog Studios was born.
And the dog? Her name is Bix and she really is dumb. But we like her.

I like to shoot kids starting at around two. They have better attention spans, take direction well, and are more emotive. While I will gladly photograph babies, you might just as well get a mall shot since they are not quite human yet.

Sessions start at $200. Included in the cost is a DVD with the best of the images; usually five to twenty. Here is a sample of a typical shoot collection. All images are color corrected and will get some light 'photoshop-ing'. During the session I concentrate on shooting the child or children, but usually do a couple of shots with mom and/or dad. I prefer that you handle all the print ordering yourself as it is quite easy. I can provide that service for you for an additional cost as well as more sophisticated retouching services.

I prefer to shoot at my studio in Rydal. It allows me to control the setting and lighting. I will travel, however; although there is additional cost. In addition to my studio, I have over an acre of property with many naturalized settings available.

In addition to "shooting" kids, I can do adult portraits as well. I also do advertising and product photography. If so inclined, I can help you to turn your shots into a greeting card or a poster. I'm open to any and all ideas and do not hestitate to ask me for some input as well. I do not do event photography (i.e. weddings and bar/bat mitvahs). You can see my other work here.
